So here is the deal- If you could go back in time and talk to a younger version of yourself- it doesn't have to be 13 What would you say? What advice would you give yourself knowing what you know now?

I think I would probably tell myself to not let the small things upset me and no matter what happens, there will always be tomorrow, which will be better.

Oh christ. Great idea for a thread though. I wrote a letter to my future self once, I guess it's kinda the opposite thing...

I'd tell my younger self to work a little harder, to follow her heart, that things do work out okay - she's not left on the shelf.

I think 12/13 is probably a good age to pick - I'd list all the interesting and fun things that I've since discovered people got up to while at school, and I missed out on.

So learning guitar (I didn't) and forming a crap band, going out and seeing music (seemed to wait until I was 18 for no good reason) and to enjoy life without worrying - everything will come for a start.

As I'm around that age, I would go back a few more years and tell myself to stop caring quite so much. Have more fun, be myself, screw my bullies (not literally). I've learnt/realised an awful lot of stuff in the past couple of years that I wish I had known/realised earlier. So yeah, I'd go tel myself that stuff.

Life does not begin and end with pleasing others. You can't make everyone happy. Hold tight what you can let go of the rest. Life can suck, but then again attitude is half the battle. Or something along those lines.

I'd tell myself to enjoy myself and stop being so serious face. Realise that I'm never going to be great at everything and it is ok to make mistakes or be flawed in some way. I've always been a closet perfectionist, and it stopped me from getting involved in things in fear of not being good enough.

STOP TAKING EVERYTHING SO DAMN PERSONALLY!
It may be hard to hear but you're not always the center of attention and therefore, it's not always the biggest deal when you mess up. Also, problems can happen and NOT BE YOUR FAULT AT ALL! Not EVERYTHING happens because of you!

Hmm, this is a tough one.

I think I would tell myself that its okay to cry. And that one day some bastard is going to tell you its not, and to never let him hurt you again.
Then I would tell myself that while some people disagree, its okay to trust some people, because I know for a fact now its not something I could ever live without.
And most of all I would tell myself to stop living in denial, because while some people might think its a bit weird, you will always just be a naughty puppy in need of a good punishment
