Best of...

I'm coming very close to the end of my story and I know that it will ultimately be relegated to the bowels of the story section. I believe, and others concur, that this is an excellent story. I am wondering if there could be a Stickied "Best of" category created. I'm not saying just my story should be there but there are a number of very good stories here. Nomination to such an area could be object (number of stars) or subjective based on a "board of editors" etc. What do you think?

Agreed. There needs to be a "Best of GetDare Writing" (I hate literature being called stories, ick.). Or something of the like.

It should definitely be sticked along with "Officelovers" rating scale. These two posts should DEFINITELY be stickied, with the grading scale of 90+ being nominated to enter the Best of GetDare. That would be an ideal number, that or 95, for Superior Literature.

But agreed. We need a best of getDare.

Yeah but there's only one story there. There are a number of stories which, personally, I think should be highlighted and given their own mini sub-forum. Or, at least, put more stories in the "Best Of" section. Problem is, a lot of the best are unfinished...

i like the idea. Perhaps any completed story with a rating of 5 stars or higher could would be nominated, then the staff could choose from those? And perhaps some award for the signature of the author that lets others know they are in the GetDare "Hall of Fame"?

So far I have only been moving regular posts to the "Best of" section. In the next year the story section will be greatly expanded and people will be able to "publish" final versions into a special area that will be part of the main site. I know there are a lot of cool stories here but I feel like they will be lost if I move them into the "Best of" area. A fix should come about in the next year! ...really!
