Mobile site?

I would love to see, unless it already exists, a mobile site. I may just be stupid and missed it somewhere. Due to the low internal memory of my Blackberry it lags horrible trying to load the site. If I remember correctly it was reasonable simple to make this happen seeing as it appears the forums are running on vBulletin but I may be mistaken, or you may have already done it. If so just call me stupid and instruct me on how to get there.

I'm almost 100% sure it's running vBulliten with some modifications added by Depp.

As a side note, there is no mobile site that I personally know of.

Thank you erickj92, I didn't believe there was, that being said I would love to see one at least for viewing the forums. If not I will live, doesn't seem extremely hard to implement but I could be wrong.

I use opera mini 5 and that through a lng and boring process turns getdare forums mobile friendly

Getdare works on my phone, except you can't log in or anything.

To clarify, getDare uses certain scripting languages and elements that are not available on mobile phones. This is most likely related to how you can't log in.

Also, it loads so slow because getDare uses a lot of images, and has a lot of interactive content to load.

Lastly, I doubt it'd be too hard to strip-down a version of vBuliten and post it on a 2nd domain like m.getdare.com and have it read from the same database as the main site.

That being said, it's all assuming Depp has the time/feels like doing it all.

getdare works find for me, i say if u want to use gd on you phone, get opera mini 5: http://m.opera.com/?act=opts&rnd=1817544057 and choose the mini 5 option relevent to you

I use my tmobile mytouch and have never had a problem using the site or logging in. In fact i am on it right now as I post this

I can get the site and log in fine, it is just slow because of all the images. what I was really asking for was a stripped down mobile site. Which as erickj92 said could be done easily even if it is a mobile forum software just using the same databases.

So in short possible but it depends on a) if Depp wants to make it and b) if he has time to.

mini 5, because it processe the web page offsite and because a long boring process happens, when your phone actually recieves the
page, you are reieving a stripped version and you can choose not to have pictures

The site is heading for some really cool stuff so I'm not sure if depp has time to develop a mobile version yet, BUT this topic has been brought up many times in the past. The only solution I can offer right now is the archived version of the site. It's missing some features, but if you log in, you can post, reply, etc. There aren't any images so it will solve your loading problem.

Click "PDA" in the upper right corner of the archive for a more friendly mobile version. Does everything but post. If you need to post just click "View Full Version" and use the normal interface.

Visit m.opera.com on your phone to see if Opera can be installed for you. Opera Mini is available for MOST mobile phones (it's a Java based app). My last few super cheap phones let me install it.

Android & iOS devies should run getDare beautifully using the default browser.

95% are as its based on java with Android, iOS and windows phone ports
