That was based purely on assumption, all sexual topics are mature topics and by international law minor are not able to participate in the content(i.e. posting, being in a "adult" relationship) So guessing someone noticed it and or someone complained. I used to co-admin a site before we shutdown that had the same issue. Part of the reason we decided to shut down on top of lack of funds.

Was just trying to get things back to the specified subject jessie was posting about. Understand there is an age issue, but the post was more how to get around it, rather than should they be kicked off

Suggesting that you can't stop underage vs adult interaction because some people will lie is ridiculous. You do what you can to protect minors. It's the responsibility of the site to do more than throw it's arms up the air. Some minors will not lie and those will be more protected from adult males if they can't contact them with provocative and inappropriate requests.

So, basically you are proposing that we either block all messaging between underage users and adults, or we ban one or the other. There isn't anyway that you can stop the different age groups from interacting completely in the forum without banning all the underagers or making a single place where only they can post. It is bad enough already that we have had to block off enough sections from them, are we to take the whole site from them now too? It isn't a lie, more of an unfortunate fact. Restrict everything or have to deal with the fact that the two age groups are going to talk.

As it currently stands, the only minors on here openly are the ones that joined before May 18th-ish, they are the only ones that haven't lied. Any other underage users that joined after that date lied. We can't protect them if we don't know they are there. As for the current underage users, the only way we could keep themand stop the messages would be to prevent one of the groups from bveing able to send or recieve messages. Which really wouldn't work too well for the unlucky group.

What can be done is being done, aslong as it's reported then it's dealt with. No-one can force the minors to do anything and all they have to do is report it.


Also looking at some of the signatures I think something needs to be done about the underage people who have signatures that list sexual things in their likes, for example there's a 13 year old who lists anal among their likes.

Just because this place is a bit more on the sexual side it doesn't mean that everyone on here is only capible of sexual conversations. Just like in real life, if an 18+ person just has normal conversation with an under 18 person they aren't considered a pedo just for that fact. A lot of that happens here. Of course there are pleanty of creeps on here, but unless you talk to them you're not going to know who is who. There is really no way to tell what someone is truly like. There is a lot done on here to try and keep that issue down though. Can't make it dissappear without doing away with large groups of people.

You're right what we need are more single minded people who make sweeping generalisations and want to segregate groups of people who have every right to interact, that will certainly make things better.

As has been said, not everyone over the age of 18 who talks to under 18s is a pedophile.
Common sense would involve not talking about sexual acts with minors, I felt that this was fairly obviously what I was referring to, but don't feel bad that you needed it explaining.

Underage girls and boys are easy targets for pedophiles and underage girls get propositioned here by adults. It's a huge problem on the internet. FACT. Maybe you should watch "To Catch A Predator" -- they could arrest for weeks on end in any city in America.

Well that's the way that this comes across.
As you say, it is a problem everywhere on the internet and there is no 100% foolproof way to prevent innappropriate remarks being made to to under 18s. However, as I've already said, if they report it then action can be taken.
A sad fact is that there are a lot of minors both on the internet and on this site that go looking for innapropriate material and there is no way to protect those that don't want protecting.

THEY ARE EVERYWHERE

The site does all it can to keep within the law & try and keep kids safe. I know it is a problem but probably not as much as a problem as you are making it out to be. Quoting "To Catch a Predator" isn't helping your case.
