No and I don't see why it should matter. Frankly, I've seen so many users, both here and on other forums, spam the boards or post useless stuff just for the sole purpose of boosting their post counts & so-called 'ranks'. I will perhaps sound mean but I find one must have a really boring life and low self-esteem when it gets an obsession...

That being said there are users who have high post counts, some others are more selective to what kind of threads they wish to contribute. But that's exactly what it is about: contributing.

Quality beats quantity any time

Enough about ranks, guys. It's the same as reputation. The number of posts you have doesn't make you a better or more popular member. Similarly, the level of your reputation doesn't make you a better or more popular member.

It just means you post a lot. If anyone remembers some of the post count wars we used to have, they'll know the dangerous way this is heading.

If they on the other hand spout rubbish they should shut up.
