1. What are your top three destinations that you'd like to visit?
Road trip through Sweden or Finland to the Arctic Circle. Keep heading north until I run out of road, then keep going until the trail is actually impassable.

The iconic Coast -> Coast roadtrip in the USA. Fly into one coast, take a cab to a nearby scrapyard and buy something with a month or two's life left in it. Head for the other end of the country, and drive the wheels off it.

Not sure about Russia. On the one hand, it's full of cool abandoned cold war industrial awesome. otoh, I'm not sold on the idea of visiting countries where the cops need bribing in order to help me if needed.

Copenhagen, Denmark.
Lovely place, lovely people. Fantastic city, bright and open and bloody mindblowing food. Kinda expensive tho.

Yes, although I am getting better at it if I am flying rather than driving.



4. How long does it take you to pack a suitcase?
Depends if I am being organised or not.

If I am, about an evening/half day to sort through and work out what I want/need + a couple days to go shopping for whatever bits I can't find.

If I'm not, then an hour to grab a change of pants and socks, chuck them in a bag and hope.


5. How often do you travel a year?
Random weekends camping I would like about one a month, but normally end up with about one a quarter. Which is a shame.

Most years I will end up with some form of bigger trip as well, usually abroad.

Oh, now there is a question.
Well, copenhagen is lovely. Been there a few times now, and would like to go back at some point.

Scotland is stunning, and much closer than copenhagen. I don't get there often enough.

France has fantastic cake shops, and is just as close as scotland.

Or there are these lovely campsites I know in Wales...or maybe Derbyshire.

...which answers the question not at all. Guess I don't really have a 'favourite' per se. I like the travel and exploration.

Friends. It's nice to have someone to share it all with.
One of the main reasons for not getting out and about as much as I would like is a lack of company

Yes.
It's very possible to overplan these things, so the plan will frequently be little more than having worked out where we are staying.
But it's also easy to end up going nowhere and doing nothing, so I also try and hit up google etc and head out with a list of interesting places to go/see/etc. Then make it up as we go along.

Sadly not. I don't really travel with anyone to be kinky with.

Again, no. It's an interesting idea, but the opportunity isn't really present.

London. Funny old place where the laws of physics don't quite work and seems to end up really quite hostile to outsiders. This probably has something to do with the fact I normally drive and London is very much geared towards public transport.

The textbook example here is failing to pack heavy weather gear, and then getting caught in the cold and rain in a field. Not much to do other than roll with it.

Just three? Gosh. I know I want to visit both coasts, but if I had to pick, I'd visit the west coast first. I think Seattle's probably on that list, because it seems like a place I'd like, and I've vaguely considered living there. I can't really pick where else I'd want to visit, but they would probably be cities in California. San Diego and San Fransisco are the first two to come to mind.

I can't remember for sure. It might have been when we visited my sister.

I feel like I underpack, if anything. When I overpack, it's to compensate for worries that I might not have enough stuff.

Usually, not very long. Fifteenish minutes, probably. I make a quick list of what I need, and I grab it.

Not nearly enough. Maybe once a year.

Hm... The prettiest place was probably visiting my friend in Michigan. She lives near Lake Michigan, in a popular tourist attraction (although I guess the Pure Michigan ads mean that half the state could be described that way). I think the one I had the most fun and frustration all at once with was probably Orlando, though. The theme parks there are great, but the heat, the weather, and the traffic all got to me.

It's almost always with my family, although the trip to Michigan was my first trip alone. I felt really accomplished afterward!

Hm... Can I say both? I think I need both time to have fun and time to unwind. If the itinerary is too full, then I'll get stressed out trying to fit in more things. I guess I'd prefer the former if friends are there. If I'm visiting a friend, then I just want to spend time, regardless of what we're doing.
