While I would never consider partaking in or encouraging beastiality/zoophilia, I must go with what I often say for things like this....Go with the Wiccan view, so long as you do no harm (whether it be physical, psychological, emotional, or any other form), do what you please.

So, as long as you're not causing the animal(s) harm I must say, "just don't bring me along"

Props to RiskyVenture, Sayaman, and KeyKitty for being logical about it. If there are others that said similar things I apologize for the lack of mention, but I only read through the first and last page.

To respond to you Anjelen, the things listed above are things considered morally wrong by a fair amount of people in the world. Conservatives among any number of political regimes and religious practices make a sizable percentage of both the population and the people that hold that attitude.

I think the point that Sayaman was trying to make is that simply saying that something is morally wrong is not a very strong counter-argument. Think about the people that think the above mentioned are morally wrong, and how "they" might look down upon "us" for what they consider to be reprehensible but which "we" know to be otherwise.

The same could be said of beastiality enthusiasts. So as to why it's "wrong", "morality" should not come into question. The only reasonable counters I've seen to this involve hygiene and consent, but would only apply to beastiality scenarios where those come into play, and don't hold water when the parties engaged are being reasonable and not forcing anything on the animal in question.

I'm pretty neutral on the subject.

On a personal note, I'd never have sex with an animal. However, I don't see it as beng morally wrong unless, you know, it's somehow forced upon a person. If someone chooses to have sex with a dog, it's their perogative and I'm sure the dog wouldn't mind having someone to hump. :P

Now, I have a question: For those of you who are complaining about beasitality, are you picturing a guy banging a goat or a girl being ridden by a german shepard? I'm interested because I've seen that there are some people that are disgusted by a guy doing it with an animal but have no problem if it's a female. As I said, I don't see a problem with either gender doing it, it's just not my personal preference.

for me, i can say one thing. im defenatly not going to do it because im not attracted to animals in that way, much to the same way that im not attracted to other men. to be honest, female/animal beastiality doesnot sicken me at all, i get more grosed out thinking about scat play to be honest.

and on the level in which its abusive to animals i do pick up the argument that, men kill animals for food or if they become a pain in the ass. farmers off stray cats all the time, kids shoot slingshots at squrels and birds, and we dont jump down their throats about animal crulety.

Animals almost never breed with different species in the wild, most times it happens in the zoo.
Animals don't worry about morals, but even they hardly do it.

Actually, dolphins will actively seek to mate with, amongst other mammals, humans, if and when no mate of their own species can be found.

Also, at least one species of frog gets so incredibly randy when it's mating seizon they latch onto fish and litterally do not let go until the poor fish dies.

that's just two examples off the top of my head - and don't ask me for sources either, i just remember having read this in encyclopedias in school
