I looked around and thought that there is not a strictly LGBT Community thread. This is a place, where we can meet LGBT (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual/Bicurious and Trans) people on getdare. Anyone is also welcomed as long as they are open minded.

What a wonderful idea for a thread

I identify as gay and genderqueer. I have a lovely boyfriend who is also a member on here. As for my story, well I don't want to get into it too much otherwise I would be here all day. But I knew I was gay from a very young age. I came out when I was 17, so that was 4 years ago and I am generally out to everyone. I've very thankful to all my wonderful friends who are very supportive of me. I guess my biggest struggle with coming out was the fact that I am a Christian. It can still be a point of contention for me sometimes, especially when there seems to be more news everyday of how the church at large has mistreated another section of the LGBT community. But it's all part of my story I guess. Ok, I'm starting to ramble already so will stop typing now.

I look forward to hearing all about the rest of you lovely people so let's make this thread a success!

I came out to a few selected people, who are now my sex buddys hehehe guess it was a good plan ha? I came out to 5 guys i think are totally hot , and they said they are into guys to and it evolved from that ever since

Well , as people say, i've always knew, but i only took it seriously arround 11-12 when i started to have proper feelings for guys/girls

Yup, accepted, but none the less i've still been affected. Couple months ago i was raped and i think it was out of homophobia but anyways i'm through it now don't want to go over that again

When did you knew you were little different from the rest of the world? What is the story? Now that I think about it, I've always had these types of feelings for girls more than guys. I remember how I used to try to impress the girls. I just never thought that that was different. I realized that i was bisexual about a year and a half ago.

I've came out to all of my little internet friends, and I only had 1 bad experience. She reported me, since it's a G rated site, and I got a violation.

I came out to my mom last June and it went super well. She was really supportive and whatnot, and we've only had a little trouble since then. She doesn't really believe I'm a lesbian because she's really big on stereotypes (none of which I fall into) and she "doesn't understand".

I came out to my grandma exactly a month after my mom and she just kinda stared at the TV and said "Kay" xD

Hopefully, I will be fully out and open by this coming september, when the school's GSA meetings start. :3

When did you knew you were little different from the rest of the world? What is the story?

I've known since I was 10, although I went through a long period of denial. Other than the little clues along the way and experiences and whatnot, I had this epiphany I guess around 2 years ago, since I was identifying as "bi-curious" and I was asking myself why I wasn't bi, and I realised it was because I was afraid of what other people would think. So I had my first emotional breakdown realising I'm probably bi, and then I was like "oh crap, do I even like guys", which signaled emotional breakdown #2. Turned out I was right, but I kept second guesssing myself for a while before I came out to my mom.

Thank god everyone does accept me, even though my mom is still trying to come to terms with it. Also thankfully, I live in a liberal republican area that's super accepting. So accepting, the little lesbian couples can kiss in front of the buses after school and no one gives them a hard time, or a second look, for the most part.

I have. Nothing special was scared shitless but felt great once it was out and barely anyone bothered me about it so although it was difficult, it wasn't too much to handle.
When did you knew you were little different from the rest of the world? What is the story?Honestly? I didn't realize it until I was like 14, and when I did I pushed off on dealing with it until I was 16, which made it harder when the time came, but hey I think we all figure it out eventually.

Other. If you had to put a label on it Pansexual. I would happily go out with any sex be it male or female or something completely different if i loved them. I only get physically turned on (if you get what i mean ) by females but in a different way i get turned on by men / trans.

Not really till i hit puberty. I liked a lot of girls toys when i was younger aparently which is some kind of sign aparently. I also loved the boys toys as well though lol

Hi all My name is Jessica and I am a Transsexual woman I am bi-sexual. I have been living ALMOST full time now for the past 2 months. There are times when I am forced to be in "guy mode" but forthe most part I am a female to anyone that looks at me. I have have always been transsexual since I was like 2 years old, but only recently accepted it and came out to friends and family. I created a facebook to add the people I love and accept me for who I am...and have a decent size group of supporters

Came out to my friend at a sleepover. Then to my other best friend over the phone. Then a gay teen committed suicide at my school. I told an out gay kid later that year over facebook. I told my dad even later. I opened the PFLAG website (Parents of Gay, Lesbian, something, group) and said "this applies to you" He talked to me. Its now a touchy subject. He doesn't think I am. I told my mom. She said its because I watch porn, and that warped me. Parents dont believe. And it didnt go bad when I told them, separately (like, half a year change, mom being last). They just dont believe me. All the others are good. Im not out at school, but there are rumors.
