IMPORTANT NOTE

I did not realize that you could only edit a post so many times. I am now unable to update the OP, which, of course, means that the information there will forever be out-of-date.

It is now more important than ever that slaves and masters keep track of their own affairs. Keep ALL your information in your signature! This includes the answers to all of the applicable questions.

Are you a slave or a master?
Are you a controlled import?*
Are you emancipated?**
What is your value?
What is your wealth?
Who owns you?
Who do you own?
When were you bought?
When did you buy each slave?
What are your limits?

* Slaves can be a controlled import if they so choose. This means they have a say in who can buy them. If you wish to be a controlled import you must make it obvious in your signature so that potential masters know you may be harder to resell.

**Emancipated slaves have the ability to own wealth. Any gold earned from work done in the Public Works thread will be split evenly between an emancipated slave and their master, so ES must also be advertised.

Seriously, though, if you don't put the info in your sig, you're only making it harder for yourself and everyone else.

Hmm... this is a tough call... Simi did technically call it first, but she wasn't officially free yet at that point.... But she couldn't be free yet, since that didn't come into effect until just now... But iSpuds is a potato...

I would suggest that either you compromise--i.e. each pays for half of the slave and you alternate days or something--or you let the saved decide who should own him.

Slaves may do as they please, provided it does not go against a command from their masters. So if a master does not want their slave working without permission, they should specify that to their slave.
