I didn't test this variant of Mastermind before this so I had no idea how long it would take for someone to crack the code. I expected this game to take at least 3 or 4 checks but people managed to crack the code after only 2 checks.

I might start a poll to determine the next game. Do people want the same Mastermind variant, another variant, the question game or another game?

This variant is great. Hard but not impossible. Maybe make it 10 digits, next time....

Oh that's cool as players who are already good at the game like Auryn would have already figured it out anyways, and by writing some of the process I use, I was just trying to involve people who are not acquainted with the game to understand it better as I already have the access to the dungeon that week for winning (actually being 1st runners up) in the dare of the month group 1..

And pretty please continue with some form of mastermind on gd (even if not for the dungeon entry and even with a harder code)

Basically the same type of Mastermind only I have changed the 8-digit code into a 6-letter one. I will run the check approx. 8 hours after this post to get things going.

* Rule changes * (also see the first post)

Crack the 6-letter code.
You get only 1 score between 0 and 12.
- +2 Points for each letter at the right place.
- +1 Points for each letter at the wrong place.
One code per check. I aim at checking every 24 hours.
