Option to hide your profile from users in your country

The website called chaturbate has the option to ban certain countries from viewing your cam.

Using this to ban your own country is really great because you can go on without fear that someone you might know is going to see you.
The only people that can see you are from other countries.

If this was added to gd it would make users feel more safe and lots of people might even put up a profile pic now as only people you will never meet can see you.

I don't know how practical that is - but those worried should be warned that getDare's chat seems to reveal the country you are logged in from.

If you're going to be on the internet, anyone can find you, if you're not safe with what you post. If you're uncomfortable with that idea, then you might as well throw your phone in the neartest body of water and microwave your hard drive and live in an underground bunker.

How did you know where I live? Have you been stalking me?

I agree. It is still easy for people to find you. If someone comes in as a guest, they will see your profile. They log in - they don't. Then they will guess you are hiding from people from that country.

The user would still see the Profile exists and would be able to circumvent this pretty easily.

I doubt that most Threads in the advertising section have demands like "no pictures" - I don't think this feature would be pretty useful here on gD.
