I don't think I've ever actually had leek. At least, not straight-up leek. Maybe as seasoning, or chopped up or whatever...

I honestly didn't even know leek was a thing until I saw this thread. I have to try these "leeks" as soon as I can!

Oh yes! In soups (boiled) and sallads (raw), and fried (fried) with eggs and/or potatoes... The humble leek is actually one of my favourite veggies.

Strange thread -- except that the shape of the leek certainly suggests other uses -- and it even comes in many sizes... OK, so it isn't a strange thread after all.

I found that my soup was dripping out of the bottom of my bowl. I thought there was a hole in it, until I remembered that I'd added leek. (sorry)

This is a really odd thread :P

I never cooked with leeks until I volunteered on a farm... I just use them in soups... usually to replace onion, or sometimes with onion still...
