Changes to Unread Posts Feature

I've changed it so you will only get an exact count of unread posts if your last visit was within 7 days (previously it hovered at 30-50 days). Because of the volume of posts we get users who only visit occasionally are thrashing the database.

This does not mean you will no longer be able to see unread posts after 7 days. It just means that after 7 days you will no longer get a number count. The link will just read "Unread Posts."

I've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to make the site/server a lot faster and this is one change I felt really needed to be made.

It sounds like a good change to me. If I were to go on vacation and not be on for example. Thnk you for changing that.

Now if only the 'new posts' wouldn't dissapear in the time it takes me to type a good sized posts...

Seriously, Depp - no offence, but what's up with that? I click on 'New posts', click through to a thread to reply to, and by the time i'm done with that, there are 'zero new posts'...

Whut?
