Access GetDare on Ubuntu? I tried to come on but it says error.... is thier any reason for this?

MBP thats not helpful.. i was wondering why ubunto has no support to let people get on getdare....but it does for other forums.

You'll have to wait until depp comes on as I'm guessing only he'll know if it's something to do with getDare.
Or maybe it's this "Ubuntu", which I've never heard of so I can't really give any advice on it, in which case contact them.
Until then, try using something else.

Blank - it' s possible that your Ubuntu distro doesn't come with flash or Java preinstalled - neither did mine. Other things like these may be missing from the default distribution of Firefox as well.

I suggest downloading a new browser - such as Google Chrome, or Opera, and the Java and Flash applets available for them - and then trying again.

It now works on google chrome. but not firefox and I have flash installed. perhaps its a firefox issue?

I use getDare on Ubuntu all the time. What error are you getting? Can you post a screenshot?

Agreed with Depp -- I'm posting this on Ubuntu right now. I've never had any problems from 8.04 to 10.04.

I need to reinstall my server again tomorrow, anyway. Before i do that i'll drop Ubuntu on it and see if i can find out what the problem is.

I'm typing this on Firefox. I used firefox for over a year now and only use it now lol, and i've always been able to access this site and all of it's features.

I have no forgotten about this! I am downloading Ubuntu atm and when it does I will try and get a screenshot to show depp and everyone what it says!

My Ubuntu seems to have no problems at all starting GetDare from a clean install-and-update.

Especially since you have gotten Ubuntu to run in Chrome, it seems to me that you're missing something in your browser - perhaps Depp or someone else can answer what this site's browser dependencies are, because i wouldn't know that ^_^;

The only thing you need is Javascript enabled. We don't really use Java or Flash.
