A getdare iPhone app

I think it would be a great thing if you guys made an iPhone or iPod touch app. I never really asked anyone else but I know that I spend the majority of my getdare time on my iPod touch. If there was an app that just kind of simplify the main menu so you could check posts, check your messages in chat that would be awesome. Just wanted to throw that idea out there

I personally use an Ipod Touch for getDare every day - usually 4-5 hours on this before laptop in evenings.

Have never found there is a problem with using the ipod touch on here?

The chat works well, sometimes a little slow - with only half of the last comment appearing, however had no problems with this.

The only problem i find, will not occur to you, (changing threads title -- cant double click on ipod touch)

Therefore i can see no real need for extra expense making an app for little gain

Well I don't have any problems that are to bad. Just the screen is either to small or to zoomed in, and that just gets kind of annoying sometimes. I just wanted to see what everyone else thought about it.

Don't you find this when surfing most websites on our ipod touch?

Even if an app was brought out - that i am aware of there is no app currently available to make your screen bigger

Therefore would experience the same MINOR problems

Exactly- unless you buy a ipod growing app.... oh wait they dont exist either. I dont see why using the safari software is any harder than an app. saves buying it tooo

This has been suggested numerous times in the suggestion zone, to which it is always met with similar replies.

Itunes would never allow an app from a site of this type to be allowed on their market, due to the sexual content of quite a lot of the areas. Not to mention it being a lot of extra work, especially if you are not familiar with the programming language - you would have to do completely different coding for apple and android and windows.

If it was possible it would ahve happened by now, guess you will have to make do with the browser!

Thank you honeyness, everyone else replied in an almost mocking way but you actually answered the question. The only reason I brought it up is because of the Facebook and myspace apps. I could get on those sites just fine without the app but the app just makes it a tad bit easier. No need to be rude about replies. Gosh!

I was in no way intending to come across as rude or mocking in my responses- so I apologise sincerely for that.

I do understand your desire for this ap- and understand your point as of the facebook ap- I use that myself actually.

But for the effort it would take to produce and get apple to go for it would mean it would be a paid ap- So based on the idea that wifi would still be required it makes it no easier really than using the safari software to access the site.

Not so sure I agree with honeys point about the mature content though because you can buy all sorts of sex position, and sex related aps too. But on the whole she is right.

There is an iPod touch growing app.. It's called getting an iPad instead :P

Sorry.. On a constructive note, I did find it kind of difficult on my iPhone, more so than most websites, just because there are so many links to accidentally click on unless you zoom right in.

My iPad has solved that though.. Hehe sorry if I seem an apple nerd, I'm not.. I own a pc

This has been discussed multiple times and it is not going to happen UNLESS Apple allows mature content in their app store. However Android and Blackberry Apps can be made seeing as you can distribute the app outside of the Android Market and App World(respectfully). Like I stated this has been discussed on more than one occasion.
