Betting for money?

Okay obviously plenty of people on here playing games which they'll bet clothes and maybe a forfeit after or just bet a forfeit

The question I have is do you bet for money often?

Or do you prefer betting clothes/forfeits?

I've bet for money a few times (nothing too major, although it did get closer than I'd like to admit to being a "problem") but never recently. As I've never had a lot of money all I ended up getting when I won was relief, and when I lost a knot in the pit of my stomach and regret (even with low stakes). In the end I quit while I was in the black as it just wasn't fun.

At least when betting forfeits the most you can lose (broadly speaking) is a bit of pride but I still get the thrill of losing that bit of pride to someone who was just as likely to lose it too. I enjoy losing almost as much as winning

I suppose the moral is don't bet more than you can lose...or have more money.

Well I've just into doing forfeit bets on here (like Battlestrip) and I'm surprised how much I enjoy it. I've only done a few so far but, win or lose, it's quite a buzz. It's something I'm definitely going to do more of. Away from the internet then none of my friends are really into betting, or forfeits as far as I know.

More pain and humiliation type tasks so far (so like X spanks per unsunk square of ship, poses for winner, light exercise, edging). Even though I like nudity it seems a little tame for most people on here (me too I suppose, such is the magic of the internet). Hi,

I've never been a fan of betting for money for the simple reason that I would never bet more then I could afford to lose and in truth the consequences of losing the money is minimal.

As such I rarely bet for money

Contrast that with for example betting clothing especially with someone that under usual circumstances you would not be anything other then fully clothed or a situation where the same is true.

Now there are stakes that get interesting.

If you lose some money to a work colleague (as an example) it's not that big a deal. But would you wager clothing with a work colleague? Especially one that perhaps you would like to say wearing less?

It's also amazing how many bets you can win by default when you suggest clothing rather then money.

So, to answer the second part of your question. I prefer betting clothing.

Sadly, the older I get (and the more responsibilities that I seem to inherit alongside this) the smaller the pool of places where I could do it without it being considered both career and social suicide.

I'm working on developing a social circle that will allow me to get back into doing it more as I do miss it.

I quite enjoyed reflecting back on it in replying to this thread though.
