Relationship advice

So I need some advice as you all might have guessed.

So I have be talking to this girl from the end of november till now. I decided to ask her to prom to which I got a yes (yay) but she had to ask her parents (ok fine). But not fine, her parents decide that she w not allowed to go (mind you she is a sophomore and I am a junior). Then things got real weird and awkward between us. Now things are pretty close to where they were (before I asked her).

So I was thinking of asking her out (on a date) but I don't know if it would be a good idea or not. I don't want to have a very awkward situation on my hands. So what do you think I should do.

You mean ask her out on a date instead of the prom? Do it. If you really like her and feel you'll get along, then do it. Simple as that. Don't let a good opportunity pass you by.

I don't see why you shouldn't ask her out. Probably her parents just don't want her out late with a bunch of juniors and seniors, but if you show them that you're a nice good boy, they might make an exception for you. :P

Ya, the parents probably just wantto know who their daughter is dating.

Thanks for the advice guys. I was kind of leaning toward s asking her out but I wasn't sure. I was kind of hoping that as mentioned above would happen if I did end up going out with her.

Her parents as mentioned above) prob don't want her out late with joiners and seniors, but it prob doesn't help that she is the baby of the family with two older brothers. So her parents have been through this.

Thanks again for the advice. I guess all there is to do now os just to ride this wave and see what happens.

I'm sorry but I don't understand the whole, "sophomore, Junior, Senior etc" thing? Whats the go with that? We work in year levels in Oz lol

Anywho, as said above, go for it dude! She has older brothers so they will be protective of course. Just be a nice person to her and make sure you acknowledge and respect her family and what ever boundary's they may ask of you

Ask her! Please ask her! This might be your only chance. These are some date suggestions:
Park - A nice walk in the park. How relaxing.
Shopping - Us girls love shopping. It will show that you care about her needs.
Theme park - If you don't scream on rides you will seem manly. If she's scared you can look after her.
Restaurant - You can't beat a good old dinner date.

Freshman = 9th grade = usually age 14 or 15
Sophomore = 10th grade = usually age 15 or 16
Junior = 11th grade = usually age 16 or 17
Senior = 12th grade = usually age 17 or 18

If you like her, then go for it =)..... do her parents know about you? you could always ask their permission to take their lil girl out? or would this be a bad idea? =)

I first wanted to say thanks to all for the advice. Also I figured I would give an update. I managed to ask her out on a date, to get a reply of: ummmm, i'm sorry but I don't think I will be able to. Now for the back story. She had had plans to hang out with her older brother, go to a soccer game (doop!) and some other things on Saturday (and she doesn't get much time to spend with her brother apparently); quite a busy day. But I decided to ask anyway (you never know until you ask). Soooooo, that is it for now.

And to answer question posted above.
I don't think that her parents know directly about me (she hasn't told them) and I know that they don't know me personally. But they do know that someone asked her to go to prom.

Does she likes you to? do you know? I dunno if you told us or not .__.

Yes. Or so I believe. I haven't gotten a no from her on anything that I have asked. It has just been due to outside circumstances that things have not been able to pan out. And I do know that she is very close with her brothers. Soooo, yea.

You could always ask her family's permission? im not sure well just talk to her and see what's best for you both =)
