Punishment for not saying Master

If I'm posting this in the wrong forums I apologize. Theres my disclaimer.

All right now to my issue. I have a slave that is very new to the D/s life style that I chat with only with text and voice. She has a bad tendency to not use the proper reply for me, which tends to be Yes, Master or No, Master. That is just an example though.

There is a problem though. Since she is still very new to this, she is not comfortable with my normal punishment for not addressing me/replying to me properly, which is generally 5 slaps to the face. So I need some ideas for some minor punishments then. Anyone got some ideas?

I'm not really big on face slapping. I believe that the punishment should be related to the infraction.

For not saying it I would point out she made a mistake and what she did. Make her apologize and say it to you.

If she isn't going to say what she's supposed to she can just not talk at all. Have her gag herself for x amount of time for each time she forgets. Something hard for her to keep in her mouth or something gross. If it gets really bad she can do lines while she is gagged.

Ahh okay let me explain something really quick. My theory on the face slapping is that if it is coming out of their mouth and it is not right the mouth should be punishment and the closest thing besides actually slapping the mouth is the actual face.

And I liked the gag idea I'll run it by her if she messes up again. I also like the lines; I'll try that too. Anyone else have any other ideas?

Here's another suggestion. Give her a set number of spankings (on her ass). Let her count each swat out loud, and say "thank you Master" or something similar after each spanking (as long as she is addressing you as Master).

For example:
You: *Swat*
Her: 1! Thank you Master!
You: *Swat*
Her: 2! Thank you Master!

If you only talk to her through voice/texts and cannot give her the punishment, let her spank herself with an object, but still have her address you as Master after each spanking.

I too am not big on face slaps, though I do know that my friend is into it. So some people might like it/not mind it as a punishment.

I also think that being gagged would be more appropriate for a punishment or the slapping and having to say "yes master" and whatnot. That's of course just my opinion.

My Mistress locks a ballgag on me for a certain period of time (usually around an hour) and has me do some chores whenever I forget to address Her properly. Afterward, I am usually bent over and given a spanking for my disrespect. In most cases, I have my medium butt plug removed and a large punishment plug is installed for awhile.

I love wearing a ballgag, and always have, but nonetheless-this punishment has been effective at reminding me to speak properly to my Mistress.

lines...lines are usually really really effective (at least for U/us) a set number in a set time frame (i will not forget to address Master properly) or something similar...its tedious, and seeing and writing the words make them stick
