Notifications on thanks and comments on blog posts

In the User CP we get notified when someone adds to a post you subscribed to.

However, we don't get notified on a 'thank you' post and we also don't get notified on comments on blog posts. Would be great if this could somehow be added.

And, in general, a live notification system like Facebook has would be even better!

I recently found out that you can subscribe to a blog. However, that subscription doesn't seem to do anything. Any new comments or blog posts do not show up in the User CP as other kind of subscriptions do.

Can somebody explain what a blog subscription does exactly?

Not sure if it is something that can be done, but I too agree that it would be really cool to get notified when someone thanks a post of mine. For now, I guess I just gotta settle with the only option available -- checking in the stats section on what posts of mine have been thanked. Not the best option, but it's the only option as of now.

I didn't try subscripting to a blog yet; don't need to, but I see that there's an option to get a notification by e-mail. I don't know what kind of notifications this will be, but it worth a try if you are eager to get those notifications.
