I have a terrible habit of saying the wrong persons name in bed, or in truth in general. As a result I have gotten into the habit of just using a generalised pet name instead.

One one occasion the lady I was with was most put out that I called her by her friends name which led to a rather abrupt end to the evening and a split lip. That was particularly bad as I honestly had no sexual feelings towards her friend, it was just a genuine slip.

In other cases it's been the name of an ex. Most of the time I shrug it off and hope they haven't heard or try to distract them more so.
