I usually do. Even though servers get enough money from their pay checks over here. They don't have to rely on tips. I decide on the amount when I see the bill. It should be a nice, rounded number. Rounded up, of course.

a lot - i wont tip at all for bad service.
The better it is the more the tip.. Range of tips from zero to 400% of ticket.
I have had waitresss fired for bad service (was justifiied btw)
btw I have been a waiter myself, been all the way from busboy to owner in past

Some waiters/waitresss i know make as much as 10 times min wage.
Some some should earn less than zero on wage or tip.

I often tip for primarily 'better' than normal service.
I have had at least 3 times had people fired for service so bad that it risked the restaurant not getting any new customers.

Ive tipped 400% on the best service I ever had.
Ive tipped cooks at times (sometimes only the cooks).

Tipping is soley volunteer .. Any place that autoadds the tip to the ticket I will not tip .. and will pay cash only when they do that..

Also if you ever tip.. always tip the person, dont leave it on the table, dont tip on credit card.
Reason sometimes the busboys or other waitress will steal the tip.
Ive even seen the mgmt or owners steal tip $.. And CC tips often will get adjusted.. when i did that in past, i usually tried to call the cc company to have the purchase rejected or adjusted.

because its a custom in america, I always tip at least 15%-sometimes 20% if theyre good (though often i will round up to the next dollar anyway too)

I'd be a better underdog, I'm quiet and usually keep to myself. But I'm also a known good worker and when given a task, i get it done fast and surprisingly well. Particularly with my artwork, I'll quietly work all class and no one pays attention to me then when i finish everyone's surprised how good it is ^.^(not to be cocky haha ;P)

Yes. If the service is great, I round up to a higher even number. If the service is really bad, I only leave 10% (though 20% is standard). I don't think I've ever failed to tip at least a little.

Yep, almost all the time. The better the service, the better the tip. If I have a server that's consistently good, I'll go for a really high tip. The last time, our usual every week server got $20 off a $60 tab.

Yes i do, i usually tip around 10 to 15% but I do tip sometimes just out of politeness too. So I have tipped a few bad servers in my life.... If you're a great server you usually get a ton of smiles, sometimes an awkward joke at my expense and about 20%
