Indecency laws in your country or state?

How are the indecency laws in your country?

In my country we have some weird laws.

We are allowed to go out into the streets naked - even in broad daylight.

A magazine decided to do an article some years ago. The wanted to check and see how "prudish" people actually were. They sent a naked woman out into a busy street of our capitol during daytime to see what might happen. How people would react.

She was followed by a photographer who was not hidden. That defeated the purpose a little bit maybe.

People reacted positive. Nobody tried touching her. Of course some people shouted remarks at her but nothing derogatory. Mostly men shouting funny pick up lines or whistling and such. According to the woman it was a fun experience. She interacted a little bit with the people on the street by talking to them and most reacted in a positive way, when she spoke to them. The most negative reaction she got, was that some people just hurried past her.

Now according to the law this was legal - However...

If someone had taken offense and called the police and made a complaint about her - turned her in for being/acting indecent - She would have been given a fine, because the call made, would have made her naked tour illegal.
she actually passed and teased a police officer a little bit for the cameraman on her "tour". He just laughed it of as a good joke.
And nobody called the police on her.

It is a strange law?

The reasoning behind the law is that you have to think about your actions yourself, before you carry them out and if you decide to run around naked in public you should expect to be fined - but not before the call is made.

Because of the fact that you can be fined for indecency, we still have nude beaches.
