Would it be possible to permanently put the word MALE or FEMALE on peoples avatar so you dont have to go all the way into peoples profiles to find out then when people are browsing the site they can see what sex the people are that are making the posts and threads.

I haven't been here long but i find it hard to distinguish who is male or female because of some male members using no pic at all female pics in there avatars or hentai pics.

If people could know strait away what sex the other person is it would make things much easier

^ Would work better than a mandatory "MALE / FEMALE" thing in an avatar, primarily because everyone has the option in their profile to choose and if people choose to display it, it'd be seen alongside their posts. (And if they chose not to choose a gender for their profile, they can retain their privacy as it wouldn't show.)

User default could be visible. One will have to go to settings to hide it. Just saying.

On the avatar, it could be potentially hidden by some peoples avatars or mess some peoples avatars up completely. However, putting the information on the profile beneath the avatar isn't a bad idea.

Rather than male or female and it being on the avatar, it'd be good to have whatever they have selected to answer on their profile show up in the same bit as Join Date, Posts and Blog Entries.

Or people could just not be lazy it really doesn't take that much effort to go into someone's profile to check, and I know I for one wouldn't want my gender advertised more publicly alongside my posts because 9/10 it increases the number of horny dipshits that PM me. It's not too hard to look for a gender if you're genuinely interested. #firstworldproblems

Wow! This is a really good point, and I hadn't thought of that until you brought it up. I already don't enjoy the messages from the dipshits, and you are right, having my gender more easily visible would just make me even more of a dipshit target. It would especially make the newer female members a target for dipshits, which is not fun at all.

Most of the dipshits can not even be bothered to read a signature, so yes, having the gender more easily available would encourage them more. We are assuming it is less difficult to click twice for people who are not dipshits, which is a valid assumption in my opinion. I have never minded clicking on someone's profile to learn more about them before I engage with them in some way, it doesn't seem like a bit deal to me at all (but I am not a dipshit, so I can not test the theory.)
