Am I edging too close to orgasm if accidental ruins are happening too often ?

I know it's not the right section to ask but I'm kinda more interested in answers from humans with the same organs as me (female) and they tend to gather here a lot more.

When I joined GD I didn't even know what an edge is, from there I learned that it's getting really close to orgasm and then interrupting all the fun. But I don't know how close is close, I always assumed as close as possible, maybe I'm wrong.

Please tell me what's the correct way to edge, how do you define, or identify an edge and where it should stop, and is it normal to have accidental ruins, or having to fight them really hard ?

Also can PMS contractions send you over the edge and make it more likely to get ruins even if you stopped the stimulation in time ?

My 2 cents. There is not an objective and clear definition of edging here. It simply means to stimulate yourself so closely to an orgasm that you know you could achieve it in one-two strokes / stimulations / seconds / whatever, if you don't willingly slow down.

There are a lot of people with PM dares saying that they will edge f.e. 3 times. What does it mean? Some specifies that in order to do 2 edges you need to go soft / lose almost all your horniness inbetween. But it's rare. Usually you almost reach an orgams, then slow down few seconds/minutes, then reach that edge again without losing too much excitement. Those are also the ones with PM dares saying that they will edge f.e. for 5 minutes. Like a rollercoaster with ups and downs that never stops and never reaches the climax. So one can edge this way even for hours. This is the most common way of edging here.

As you say, "as close as possible" is the right answer. The closer the better, because you milk yourself of more free pleasure. But the closer the harder to stop, and that's the game.

"Accidental ruins" are definitely a failed edge. I'm sure we all kind of agree about this. In this case your horniness won and you failed your assignment, so you should be punished!
