₪ Bored of the same old music?
RIGHT! I've done this with a few of my friends, and they seem to be grateful... I know everyone has their "favourite band" or "favourite vocalist" or whatever...but don't you ever just get bored of listening to the same band over and over again? Well, what I propose you do is this: 1) Make a list of the bands that you enjoy listening to (just a brief one) 2) Wait for me to reply to your post, or PM you if you request with a list of bands who (in relation to the bands you posted) you should be interested in. I'll do my best to choose bands which you may not have heard of, that way I'm not just suggesting bands that you listen to already! Thanks! Last edited by Stix; 01-14-2011 at 03:35 PM. |

I think this is a really good idea, I would PM you with some, but I already have soo many artists I am listening to I dont think I could do with any more bands to want to download. Laughing at the Itunes genius is fun though! "You purchased the pretty reckless you may like to try the Jonas Brothers" WTF?

I've found a lot of new artists through Pandora.
For those of you not familiar, Pandora is a free* internet radio service, where you program your own stations. You enter song titles or artists, and it builds a station around those types of music. While listening, you can vote if you like or dislike a song, and it will use that info to tailor it's selections. You can also share your stations with friends, though they can't tailor shared stations. *It's free with VERY infrequent commercials and up to 40hrs listening a month, or for something like $35 p/year, it's commercial free and unlimited listening. |

In terms of Iron Maiden/Judas Priest - Dio, Twisted Sister, Hammerfall
In terms of Dragonforce - Hammerfall, Sonata Arctica, Sabaton In terms of Blue Oyster Cult - check out Styx! (not Stix), Rush, Boston, UFO, Uriah Heep, Steppenwolf. In terms of Gorillaz - Stetsasonic, Sneaker Pimps, Cornelius, Daft Punk (they're all sorta similar, but Gorillaz are pretty original) Hope there's something there for you to choose from! |

Nice idea.
I listen to Enrique Iglesias, Avril Lavigne, Bruno Mars, Jay Sean and sometimes Taylor Swift and a few others. I don't like pop music, I like songs that are meaningful. Not something in which they shout and yell, it gets annoying. :| Just songs that aren't too loud or too fast. Please suggest me a few something. |
