Just wondering unless i am being blind, is there a "view all posts as read" button. I have 16 pages of posts I will never read.

There is - its near the bottom of the main page

This link or the one that Collared Slave mentioned on the front page will clear all your unread posts. Posts are removed from unread posts after 12 to 14 days too (can't remember the exact number).
