Can anyone tell me if these have a name? Or where they originate? I'm guessing Japan.

It's called Kyaraben. It's a style of arranged bento (like lunchboxes) made to capture the interest of school kids. The food itself is usually Japanese Rice Balls decorated with fruits and veggies.

They are soo cute.. i might have to learn to make them to trick my sister into eat veggies... (all she eats is straches so we are trying to get some form of veggies in her.)
