I am really looking forward to Saturday 23rd now, and they've given us 13 episodes aswell, that's wonderful.

Steven Moffat offered a small hint about the future of the Master at a Q&A after the New York screening of the opening two-parter. When asked if his Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch might be the new Master, he revealed that John Simm hasn't necessarily vacated the role just yet:

Well, as if my life weren't complicated enough already! Uh listen, if John Simm could hear you, you would not live another hour. [audience laughter] I shouldn't tell you this… but I'm going to. After ["The End of Time"] he'd been saying, "I think now that David's left as the Doctor, I would have to leave the Master," and he pulled me aside and said, "I didn't mean that! Look at me, I'm fit, I'm okay!" So Benedict has to wait in line probably.

Nice way to start the series but so many questions and so many spoilers.
Few adult jokes and a few kiddies ones but mostly it was dark which is something Doctor Who hasn't ever been really.

'Who' has been dark before. I present... An Unearthly Child, The Brain of Morbius, The Deadly Assassin, Talons, Horror of Fang Rock, Resurrection of the Daleks, Revelation of the Daleks... but I understand your point.

What happens, when you get a little girl harassing President Nixon? Aliens called, the Silent erasing people's memories, when they look away from them. A murderous Astronaut suit and a Doctor wearing a cowboy hat? You get a hell of a Doctor Who Series 6 premier and a kind nod from the British TV show to its American fans!

Also I was shocked to hear that Elisabeth Sladen had died. I had no clue she had cancer. I was sitting in class and was supposedly taking notes on my computer. Than I saw the news on the Doctor Who facebook page. I kind of shouted, "My Dear Sarah Jane" in class. Thank God my professor lived in England for a few years and understood my outburst, when I explained it to him.

Since it has officially aired in both America and England, I think we can talk about it. It was dark and I like the more mature episodes than some of childish ones. I bet some kids are not going to want to become Astronauts now. I have to admit The Impossible Astronaut was dark and I think it will be darker in Day of the Moon!

Spoiler:

Amy Pond shot a little girl in the astronaut suit that was dark! I wonder, if the Doctor is going to be furious! I think she is the first companion to shoot a little kid.

Not explicitly in the episode but all the cast have referred to them as the Silents, and the credits listed "The Silent"
