You can't be pregnant and on the frontlines. I'm not even sure if you can be on active duty at all when pregnant. Also, if you get pregnant WHILE on tour, you get discharged (and so does the guy who got you knocked up), because in the army (at least in the US army) it's against the rules to have sex with other soldiers while on duty. So yes, it is possible for people to have accidents at HOME, when they aren't in the army and their significant other is.

I don't agree with the military, or war. But if women want to serve in the military, on the frontlines, or anywhere else, then they should be able to and can. Women can take a piss anywhere they want, same as guys. When it comes to tampons, we've had 8-9 years, of something happening every month for 7 days, to learn how to 'deal with our tampons'. Oh, there's also this thing called a pad. And there's birth control that gives you four periods a year. And there's also a shot that will stop your period completely for a short time.

Women can be just as strong as men, if not stronger. I've seen plenty of women beat men up (WHILE PREGNANT), and they were both going at it pretty hard. So yeah, women are capable of doing everything a man can do. and, if a guy is standing next to a hot girl, that doesn't fucking matter. If a man is gay and in the army, does his work become affected because he is standing to next a hot guy? no.

so fuck this, women can do anything they want. Men shouldn't be able to choose or say what we can or cant do. It a woman wants to go out, join the army, go on the frontlines, 'protect her country', come back home, deal with the same mental problems all the MALE SOLDIERS deal with (PDST i believe is the abbreviation), while raising a fucking family if they choose to (i admire woman who do this - who are part of an army and yet still raise a family, THAT takes balls.) OR, if they want to stay home and clean and stay in the kitchen, then fine. It's THEIR choice. Not yours. Not anybodies.

This is actually very much a falsehood. And even worse, because people think this there is a culture which actively promotes that women don't go into the sciences, making it a vicious circle. Here is something to back what i am saying up, just a shame no one else seems to be able to do it.

And women being less suited to harsh environments? A few ten thousand years ago we all lived as hunter-gatherers, and the women lived in the same environment as the men. So from a evolutionary standpoint they are just as suited to harsh environments as men are (after which it also goes back to training, because neither males or females can "properly" operate in a warzone without training),

I'm voting for yes. When it come's down to it, if you are not good enough to do the job set forth by the defence force they won't let you do it. Male or female. If a woman is capable of doing a front line job, awesome I have no problem with that. If I was on the front line I'd be more than happy to have a competent soldier next to me, man or woman She wouldn't be there if she couldn't do the job.

For all those saying, "She'll be hormonal" and "she won't be tuff enough" or "she'll menstruate all over the place" come on? Are you that naive? Yeah, because girls don't know how to deal with that stuff!? Honestly?

IIR the only troop in the uk army that has no women is SAS and the reason has never been "official", however it has been pretty much said that the role the SAS do is very tough doing CRAZY deniable ops in places we dont know even exist where the risk of capture is HIGH.

Capture a woman and parade her and you have a MASSIVE outcry from home, so that has never happened.

Also having heard 2nd hand what the SAS training, its crazy, sure you might like kink this is not kink... this is kink x10, and 100% deniable.

i understand why you think that but you also have to understand that australian slang is quite different to slang around the world.so in saying this should be taken seriously as it wouldnt be too long till most of the world has women in cobat roles

as most poeple would know this is just a discussion on women being on the front line, directly in combat as part of infintry. what people have not mentioned at the moment is that there are already women placed there, abiet in a supportive role i, as medics ect.

just a bit of background of how this came about. for years there has been a movement for women in combat roles, in australia. up untill now it had no real strong support in the government. untill now. about two or three weeks ago there was a storie that broke about a sex scandel within the military. i wont get in to that kettle of fish as you can read the story here for your self.

i couldntfind the origanl story but this will give you a rough idea of what happened.

Physical; you can train some one to be fit we all know that and that is across the board,male and female. but even at peak fitnes and strength how many women can, and would be willing to hump around with thier house on thier back, which can weigh any where up to 60kg/150lbs. with minimal luxuries.
period/pregnacy; as discussed there is a pill to ofset the monthy cycle that women have. here in australia if you are pregnantyouy ar non-deployable but you are not kicked out.
sexiness factor; seriosly guys come on do you really think that the guys would be checking them out, it would end up more like checking out your sister. although when people work as close as they do relasionships can be quite passionate for lack of abetter term. most guys i know will protect thier sister more than thier brother, and not because they are the weaker sex its just what we do.
capture;this is a big one for me, at the moment we are fighting a war with an enemy that are highly fundimenalist muslism, a small minority iknow, what do you think that they would prefer to have a father with2 kids or a mother with 2 kids. what would be the better 'prize'. do we really want to give them the chance to say 'even your women are not safe'. especialy if they are deep recon for example

most women would be able to do the job hands down, not disagreeing there but if standards are higher for males in the same job role then why cant women be put to the same standard, physicaly thast is. skills are trainable both sexes are able to learn anything they are able to. there are a few women i trust completly and would have them at my back if i was there.
