Title: The Fountainhead
Author: Ayn Rand Genre: Philosophical Novel (According to Wikipedia) Fiction/Non-Fiction: Fiction Thoughts: I didn't quite enjoy it as much as Atlas Shrugged, but it was still pretty good. I did feel that it dragged on a bit too long and I wasn't too sure where it was going during the middle of the book. Overall, I agree with the ideas behind the story and it was an interesting, albeit far-fetched, plot. |

The last book i was read was The IndwellingIt is the seventh book, of the 12 book saga, of the Left Behind series
The authors are Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins I am not really sure on the genre...... I loved this book......it, and the first 6, are amazing. The authors really work hard. The series is about the rapture of the church and what takes place afterward, which is all taken from the book of Revelation in the bible. I recommened it to everyone with a high reading level

Title: Lord of the Flies
Author: William Golding Genre: Allegorical Fiction/Non-Fiction: Fiction Thoughts: I enjoyed it quite a bit, the idea of stranded people all being boys and under the age of 13 sounded like it would never really work and I vote Jack the best character because he sings

Looks like there aren't too many readers here!! Anyway, here goes:
Title: Magician Author: Raymond E Feist Genre: Fantasy Fiction/Non-Fiction: Fiction Thoughts: Brilliant book. Gets better as it progresses. Part of a series called "The Riftwar Saga", but holds up as a story in itself. Can't wait to explore more of this series.

Title:How Pleasure Works:The new science of why we like what we like
Author: Paul Bloom Genre: Psychological Reference Fiction/Non-Fiction: Non Fiction Thoughts: It was entirely fascinating. I couldnt put it down. As much as it went on some strange tangents about why people like canibalism it also looked in depth at why things like music and art and food give us so much pleasure It was a great read, if not a little confusing in places. Reading a new one now will comment when I can find it about how your mind plays tricks on you. I just cant read it at the moment because it is so much more interesting than the stuff I am supposed to be revising in psychology at the moment for my exams that I likely just wont revise if i start reading it. I could sit in the pyschology section of the library and read for an age, it fascinates me, but I really need to read Wicket since its been sitting around for so long, and would love to read the original sherlock holmes novels.

Title: The Body of Christopher Creed
Author: Carol Plum-Ucci Genre: Young Adult/Mystery Fiction/Non-Fiction: Fiction Thoughts: So I'm kinda sorta still reading this, but it's amazing. I really love how the whole book is smashing common social assumptions and stereotypes. The main character is a really cool kid. I'm definitely getting my own copy of this book, since the one I have now is from the library.

Title: Vespasian Tribune of Rome
Author: Robert Fabbri Genre: Historical/Adventure Fiction/Non-Fiction: Fiction Thoughts: i think the book is very good for his first but it does have a good story line and well defined characters that work very well in the context of the book.

Title: Shadow Gate: Book two of Crossroads
Author: Kate Elliott Genre: Sci Fantasy Fiction/Non-Fiction: Fiction Thoughts: I'm part way through the this, the second book in the series and am finding the 2nd better than the first. I found the 1st book OK but a bit hard going but this may have been because it is the first time I'd read a book on the IPad which makes it feel a bit different.
