The main problem is people lie about this. It would appear to help, but possibly, and this is just an opinion, it might actually cause more problems than solve

I think, if nothing else, it would establish who should and should not be involved in certain activities. If you're chatting with someone, and they have their age in their profile, it's your responibility to have checked.

I think displaying your age should be mandatory. And, once you give get dare your birthdate, you shouldn't be allowed to change it. If, after that point, you told anyone you were a different age, it should be grounds for a permanent ban.

People lie. There is no difference between a age listed in a users profile and the age they will tell you. Optional age verification is coming.

We can't stop people lieing, but I think putting age below display pictures will make it easier to see. Most people will lie once and then try and pretend to be older and be called out.

The other advantage is that many people don't check profiles of users ages often unless a number of the persons posts seem to have discrepancies. Having the age right there we'll immediately be able to realise that the user is too young or gauge what level a dare is needed.

While they can lie, they won't immediately know that the age is shown on the page, will probably give a truthful age, realise they need to be 18 for something and make a second account.

Is it possible for the ages only to be shown to registered users? Never mind actually, getting into detail about theories isn't worth it

It should be an optional feature. I.e you can turn it on and off.
