If all works as intended the masters should be able to turn a profit from buying slaves at low prices and then selling them after they have accumulated vale. Since value increases with time the economy should always be getting larger so long as there aren't too many unowned slaves.

So, the rules, aside from stated above (or some that are above, just for reminder): When you join, you must subscribe to this thread. While that is a good idea, it would probably lead to people spamming for more money. However, I was thinking that once you sell a slave, if you leave a report of them, you could get money. Talk about if you liked them, what they did well, what they did badly, etc. Do you think this is good?

I feel that shifts the incentive for the masters from increasing the values of their slaves to just going through as many as possible to get more reports in for more money.

If anything I think the best way to increase the amount of money would be to increase the amount that salves change in value per day.

Possibly. I think for now I'll just leave it as is, and I might change it in the future.

It would be inflation if there were too many masters unable to get the salves they wanted and so started using their gold to directly outbid other people to purchase a slave from another owner.

However since we have a fixed commodity price there won't be inflation as such until all the salves are owned at which point it becomes about trading between people so the intrinsic "value" of the salve isn't really important.

What I'm trying to say is that once all our slaves have been purchased then there won't be any need to put any more money into the system as the price of slaves will scale with demand and available wealth. This might even be easier if we let people buy salves for free/discounted prices.
