Here's a simple math riddle (slightly modified by me to make it more difficult) that the DJs from Antenne Eins asked in a prize draw today - not a single caller could answer it even when the prize money was increased to 600 Euros:
A man is walking towards a town 1 mile away and he comes face to face with group of people walking towards him. There are 4 women in the group. Two of the women have 2 dogs each on a leash. The other two have one dog each on a leash. Each woman has 3 kids with them. One woman has a wooden leg. One of the kids has a parrot on his shoulder.
In total - how many feet are heading to the town?

First, I'd need to see all three of the two coins, because you Yankees have a weird way of naming your coins, so there might be a possibility of two coins actually becoming three if one of them is not a nickel.
