Second Life is... like a create your own adventure. You can do pretty much whatever you want so long as someone has built it. Or if you are good enough to build it on your own (my tech frustrations from earlier were due to me NOT being good enough to build something on my own).

Some people like to play in medieval roleplay sims. Some like to explore space. Others use it to meet new people and make friends. Of course a lot use it to explore their kinks. I've done many things in my SL lives.

But right now I have Ananya who is a server at a kinky club.
I have two characters in prison (one for art theft, the other for running a lonely hearts scam).
And I have a character who is the Sheriff in the same town Ananya works in.

Other than that, I've been an actress, a mermaid, a spoon stealing village idiot, a slave, a sister, a nymph, a witch... options are really quite endless.

Fascinating indeed. I do know how it works, generally speaking. As a game and tech passionate I always was curious about it but never got into trying it because I usually don't enjoy sandboxes and sims and so i never had that kick to get in there.

A kick from Ananya might just do.

I could ask you shit about it for hours but it's probably time for both to log. Maybe another day if you feel like

Fair. Yes, I should sleep. I do prefer SL to something like the sims games because you're interacting with other people. Sometimes I like to think of it as the precursor to holodecks. Or if you ever watched Ready Player One - SL is very much like that environment, except it's on a computer screen rather than in a full on virtual reality environment. In that movie, the game is user created.

The only thing about SL is that it can be boring if you're not good at talking to people and making friends. You have to have friends for it to be fun. But it's free to create an account - and ways to get free things so you don't always look like a noob. So it never hurts to give it a try just to see if you like it.
