This thread used to be awesome. I guess with the lack of Dr Who recently, it isn't any surprise that it got neglected.
What did people think of the 50th, and the Christmas special? I saw the 50th in a theater, and to hear so many people gasp, cheer and sigh at the same time was amazing. A real group experience. It was such a good episode, I've watched it again a number of times now. Bringing back a long lost villain, the time lords, and introducing the new guy. Wow! The christmas special was Ok, if not a little cheesy. I still enjoyed it though. I cant wait to see what happens in the new season. Hopefully they can get back some decent writers. I'd love to see Neil Gaiman write a few more. What do you think?

I definitely loved the 50th anniversary special, the Christmas special was ok, can't wait until we see Capaldi in action. I think he's going to be an awesome Doctor.

I'm a fan of select scenes from the 50th (and some, but fewer from Matt's finale) but, overall, I found them pretty poor - along with Series 7B. I'm hoping for a breath of fresh air with Capaldi, though I've already seen a few spoilers that've made me sigh.

Hi Doctor,
Just curious as to your favorite scenes from the 50th? What ever happened to your fan site? I really enjoyed reading through it, and it was interesting watching as you went through and caught up on the classic Who. Cheers,

My favourite scenes were the rather obvious ones: all the Doctors saving Gallifrey (even if, in my head, I feel I shouldn't like it - I can't help it, coz it's such a punch-the-air moment), Tom Baker (!) and I rather like the bombastic opening with Matt handing from the TARDIS |

Glad to see this is here for when the show is back.
I was so sad watching Matts last episode but even more sad now as I don't think it was all that memorable and I wanted that episode to be amazing. I think Matt deserved a better send off... And although I like Clara, I miss Amy and Rory. Agreed the 50th was fantastic. Also, as Doctor has mentioned there are spoilers around now I will have to debate reading them or not. I love the surprise but I want to know now.
