I made chicken topped with ham, spinach, mozzarella, parmesan, and basil in a grape juice/butter reduction sauce (recipe calls for wine, but I don't drink alcohol, so no point buying a whole bottle for a small amount to cook with).

I typically buy a whole bottle to cook with, but I go heavy one how much I put in this sause and don't wait long between recipes that use it so I can just seal the bottle back up between them.

Living on the EDGE interesting... I would think the grape juice would add a sugary taste that wouldn't be very good. Have you considered the small airplane size bottles for cooking?

Not a lot of recipes I cook call for wine. I guess I do have rice wine that I'll be cooking some buns with soon.

But when other recipes that call for wine, I've found white grape juice works well. And I prefer no alcohol taste in my food.
