10. Mary

Katie and I remained frozen in place, half naked, staring at Mary. She’d caught us red handed. I wasn’t sure whether to run before I was condemned, or just to die of embarrassment.

She was staring right at us.

‘Oh!’ She exclaimed. ‘Sorry to interrupt.’

Then she turned and walked quickly down the hall, a smile playing across her lips.

When we heard her walking upstairs, Katie and I finally let out a sigh of relief. It seemed we were safe for now.

‘I should get going,’ I said into the awkward silence.

‘No, stay for dinner,’ Katie said, looking a bit worried. ‘I’ll have a talk to my sister after - I don’t think she’s bothered, mew. She’s not the type to judge.’

‘Okay,’ I said. ‘I’ll stay for dinner, at least.’ I didn’t want the interruption to ruin things between us any more than she did.

‘And the night.’ Katie grinned. ‘Mum won’t mind a girl sleeping over.’

‘Mine might,’ I muttered, but then shook my head. I wasn’t about to let her ruin things either.‘I’ll call my mum in a minute and let her know.’

‘Then it’s all settled,’ Katie said, kissing my lips. ‘Stay with me tonight.’

‘I will,’ I murmured into her lips, kissing her again.

I didn’t want to go anywhere that would take me away from Katie’s lips. I just wanted to be kissed and kissed forever, and hoped there would be a whole lot more of those kisses in the evening to come.

I had intended to go for much longer, but this is all I'm writing/posting for now. So you'll just have to imagine the rest of their evening yourself
