Seeking advice on gD? Wut?

getDare is a site that is lucky enough to house thousands of users with like, millions of different interests. While lazily surfing the site, one finds their self surrounded by loads of colorful opinions, as well as colorful members. After being a user of gD for a while, connections are made and relationships are formed.

During this time, growth is evident in every person. But with growth, come questions (and/or visa versa). What is SM? How do I tell my parents I'm gay? Because of the friends that a member of gD has made, they probably want to ask them. But, why should they post a thread, when there are sites on the Internet that are dedicated to asking whatever questions a person has?

So; my inquiry (after much rambling); do you prefer a person to ask for advice on getDare, via a thread, or do you think they should just look it up?
The post is separated for mods and users. I don't know the correct terms, but people like depp and Boop would choose "Mod", and people like me or Sharp Nacelle would choose "User".
