Did you you yourself eat the oreo w/ toothpaste? Or did you set it out in public? If it was the second one, see if the oreo was removed. If you ate the cookie, I suggest calling poison control. Um... now.

Well, i used to eat toothpaste when i was 7 and i was alright. I wouldn't be here now if it was poisonous :P

Exactly. If the 'health experts' say Toothpaste is harmful, Dentists wouldn't recommend it.

Don't trust the health experts, more so TV doctors. Your local GP can offer better (and more truthful) advice than those freaks.

I'd like to point out that I did say it was bad for children. Also, when they put something on a label they usually do that as a precaution against law suits. I'm sure you'll be fine, anything.

Ok kiddies, toothpaste science 101.

When you eat normally excess acid lingers in your mouth from things such as citrus fruit, soft drinks etc.This is what damages the enamel on your teeth. Tooth paste is an alkali which neutralises the acid and makes it harmless. Thing is that your stomach uses acid to digest food and if you swallow toothpaste then it can start to neutralise your stomach acid if you have too much. This means that you can't digest food properly and can have problems.

And that's why we don't eat tooth paste.

TL;DR - It's an alkali
