Likes/Dislikes as Tools

It's something that's been in the back of my mind, as a taken, that all the things I've listed in my like/dislikes are tools for dares rather than dares themselves. I'm not sure if other people have considered this but I only just made the connection.

For example, if you have edging, anal and bondage in your likes and dislikes then they are the building blocks people should use when constructing a dare/task/punishment for you. It's like they're a set of words that you can use to make up a sentence.

A dare that just consists of just picking out one thing from someones likes/dislikes and presenting it to them is what I would call a poor dare. Something that takes multiple aspects of their interests and expand on them is a much better dare.

Is this what defines a good dare and a bad dare? Is this something everyone else knew and I'm just a bit behind? Has anyone else just had a sudden realisation from reading thing?

For me I try to put many likes as I can into a dare, otherwise I agree with you it's a poor dare. People who do it will enjoy it if all likes are somehow involved in the dare.

As for a punishment I put as much dislikes as I can into it, this will keep it from happening again. (Hopefully.)

I also use them as tools, you can make a great dare/punishment with someone's likes/dislikes.

I think it depends on the person, the thread and the list. I consider a good dare, something that is creative even if it uses just one aspect of the list. Another good dare could be one that uses multiple of the list, but may lack some detail. A dare that involves both can be a great dare if it doesn't go too crazy and unrealistic. It's about a balance and how the dare is given.
