Hey everyone need some help

In my experience it depends on what are you planning to do with the relationship after you engage. If you dont mind screwing your friendship on a one night fun, then just go ahead, invite him over, have a few drinks and go for it.
If, on the contrary, you plan to retain that friendship and maybe have it evolve into something else, you should talk with him about it seriously. Consider his opinion on the matter, maybe he is in the same page as you are, and if he is not you should evaluate what you want more, one night sex or friendship.

I find people act a bit irrationally when they're horny. Even if I think something is a good idea, I will wait to think about it when I'm not horny and excited. This way I know I won't regret doing something.

Try and think about it and get your friend to think about it when you're not curious, or after you've had an orgasm, so you can think with the right head. If you both still think its a good idea then go ahead and have fun

I know it seems terrifying, but talking to him about it like you are both adults is totally the way to go. I have done this in the past with many many friends and it has yet to turn out badly. Many times it ended up fun, and sometimes it went nowhere, but it never hurt or harmed my friendships (mostly just ended up making them stronger.)

Talk to him. Tell him you are interested and ask him what his interests are. Then whatever you both agree on, make it happen!
