I'm an atheist but I believe Christianity us a good guide to life in places. The way I understand it, Jesus died for our sins. Surely what it means is God loves us for who we are, our flaws are forgiven.

they are back in UK at the moment so am considering trying to get to abnother show..... I saw them in Manchester a few months ago..... loved them

@spankme554 If you're not having fellowship in all areas what's the good of the Church? You are right, having urges are not something to feel bad about. How you act upon them is the decides whether you're living for yourself, or living for God. Not all urges are from God, or would you say that a person who is has the urge to kill is something and therefore does is okay? God made us as relational beings, so that we may have relationships with him, and with each other. Sex is apart of a specific intimate relationship.

Doing certain things or not doing certain things does not make you a Christian. A Christian is having a trusting relationship with Christ and trusting Him for your eternal salvation. I am a Christian and yes, I often feel guilty for my activities here (and I should because they don't honor the Christ that I follow). I fully understand the Apostle Paul when he writes in Romans 7:15-20, "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do -- this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it." If the Apostle Paul struggled with this..... you and I certainly will. I do not make excuses and try to justify my decisions -- they are wrong, but thankfully God is a forgiving God.

Having said all of this....... I do not think being Kinky or into BDSM is itself a sin. Sex (whether kinky or not) is a beautiful thing when enjoyed between a husband and a wife. The wong and the sin of it is when it is enjoyed outside of that relationship. I am guessing we feel guilty because most of us are here enjoying sexual activities with those who are not our spouse.

@slutfarm, broadcasting sex with our spouse is sinning as well, since we're leading others to lust. Christian means Christ follower, not Christ Believer. If you're not following Christ, you're not a Christian.

richied, you are correct. My point was anything kinky or BDSM that is completely within the marriage relationship (no outside parties involved either in person or online) is acceptable as long as both husband and wife agree. Also, Christ-follower does not mean perfect although I wish it did. Again, please do not read this as justifying my actions -- it is the thing I struggle with and often fail in.

God's priority is not your happiness or enjoyment. God's priority is what you need, not what you want. However, you have the freewill to choose to live by your own rules for your own honor. If that's what you want that's fine, but you're not a christian.

@slutfarm, I have no disagreements with your rebuttal. It's sound reasoning.
