Final Harry Potter Movie
The final Harry Potter Movie is coming out in a little over a month and I was wondering about what everyone's reactions were to the whole movie's series as well as their feelings about the Harry Potter Era coming to an end.
Personally it feels like my childhood is ending. I started reading Harry Potter when I was 11 years old and I grew up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione... It's sad to see it end but it's also very exciting to see the end of book 7 up on the screen and see the Battle at Hogwarts. What are your feelings?

I haven't enjoyed the movies as well as I did the books (especially the last two movies), so I'm a little indifferent to the last movie. Hopefully it will be better than I think.
I was bit sad when I finished the last book, so I understand what you mean. |

I know how you feel. I saw the first movie when i was 8 and immediately began reading the books. It's a little bit rough knowing that it's over. I absolutely love the series, both books and movies. It's one of those things that in a small way became a constant in my life and knowing that it's finished is a little bit difficult to grasp.

The only thing I'm not enjoying is the fact we've seen 'the final battle' between Voldey and Harry in the trailer. It's probably just a glimpse of it, but why show that in a trailer? Plus, they've moved it from the Great Hall with a huge crowd to just the two in the entrance hallway. Oh, and the "years later" bit was shit in the books, so I expect that bit to be shit.
Otherwise, bring it on |

The end of the books felt a bit 'im minted so fuck you' Everything was done in like fifty pages. Anyways the movie should be different to try and drag more money into the franchise. It's a happy sad occasion though it marks the end of something great (which is good cause if it goes too long it becomes rubbish i.e the simpsons)

It definately feels like the end of an era. I really young when me and my mam started reading books together and I can still remember the astounded look on my year 4 teachers face when I brought the goblet of fire into school as my private reading book. She accused me of just trying to look good and not actually being to read such detail.
I dont have nearly as many positive memories of the films but they are still so deeply part of my childhood- it will be strange not to be living in anticipation of a new one coming. I agree with doctor though I am not sure why they put the single most anticipated battle in the series in the trailer. Fans know its coming enough to not be shown it anyway.

Personally I feel like the Harry Potter series was my favorite books. But as movies, I've kinda lost my interest. Of course I'm still going to see it (at midnight) but Harry Potter felt like it was over when I finished the last book. I mean.. what more can the movie bring? |

I have to say that I don't really have that much attachment to the series. I don't think I'll be sad that it is ending. Though if it was like the last movie I'm sure I'll be sad as they endlessly kill people off.
