So, I thought I'd make a thread, seeing who plays games on here, be them console, or computer, and see what peoples favourite games are.

Console: I personly play using the x-box 360, its a console that sits right for me, good controle sets, some weight to the controler, as well as being the home to my favourite games. I enjoy using pc games as well, but, saddly, my laptops a piece of junk when it comes to games.

I tend to keep several games going at the same time, to make a game last.

Halo:
In general, I love the Halo series, its welth of backstory is emense, the universe thats been created masive, each game changing halo as a whole, introducing new mechanics, development teams that actualy listen to the comunity, its just what I search for.

Bubble Bobble:
This is a game I've played my whole life, well, gaming life, I love it. I just find it a fun little game, sure, i dont play it anywhere near as often as I used to, but, this is one of my all time clasic favourites.

World Of Warcraft:
When playing this, I masivly enjoyed the experiance, it was the first real mmo I played (not including runescape), and I loved it, the stories, setting, welth of the world, it is amazing how easily you can be drawn into it, but I never got obsessed, although I have read the books, I've never become one of the victims, managing to balance its play with my life.

Games I can't stand:

Well, this'll get me some hate, but I'm going to say it. I hate CoD.
I loved CoD2 and CoD4, when playing them, I thought they worked great, excelent sniper inclusion, snipers beng my weapon of choice, and good online. But, then things started to decline, as the same formula was re-used in every title snce then, 5 games, using the same formula, the only change being a little refining in the perks and weapon sets, but, other wise, identicle games. Blops made use of the theatre system, which was actualy impresive that treyarch showed their fans that they listened, although the game was a horrible machinima tool. Everything I've seen about MW3, only leads me to believe they haven't even tried with this title, just doing a shameful cashin, after 2 years work, im not sure if they even kept the theatre system. It just anoys me to see a game do that, only create sequels to take in the money, and ignore the art aspect of it.

oh boy... this could get me a rant or 2, at the end of the day, its my opinion, if anyone want to discus that, then feel free ^_^ im always up for that, so everyone else, answer away. :P

Console: PC and Wii

Current games: SC2, Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Favourite games of all time: StarCraft 1 and 2. I am really into SC2. I play it a lot, team games, 1v1, FFA and custom games. And use the chat channels.

I got into SC1 from my older brother back in 1998. He bought the game, I tried it out. Idk when I started to really love the game, but eventually, it became my all time favorite. But, it met its match from SC2, though I will always love SC1. But yeah, SC1 and 2 are my all time favs.

Game you can't stand: Hmm I don't know. It is tough. I either hate a game or like it. It is random for me lol.

Wow, I can't believe that people still play bubble bobble - it was one of my favourites about 30 years ago, along with space invaders, defender, galaga, donkey kong, pacman......

One of my all time favourite arcade games during University years was Gauntlet - I really like fantasy games and you can play 1-4 players which was really cool - I was always the elf.

These days I have Wii, PS2 and XBox 360.

My all time favourite game is God of War but as I don't have PS3 I haven't played number 3. The plan is to wait for the next long weekend and hire a consol so me and my sons can stay up all weekend and play it from start to finish.

In case you can't tell from my avatar I also like Darksiders - it is very similar to God of War.

I also like: Gun, Halo, Gears of War, Dante's Inferno - I'm sure there are heaps more.

I don't like skateboarding games and the Simpson's Hit and Run drives me nuts.

Favourite games of all time: Dead Island, Bioshock, Fallout, L4D.. Basically anything post apocalyptic or zombies or whatever xD Then on other systems I'd say Pokemon, Mario (everything)
Game you can't stand: Sports and games like Tron.. not really sure how to explain furthur.

Console: I alternate between the 360 and the wii. The 360 I use for a few games and movies. The wii I use for a few games and since it's hacked I play roms on it.

Current games: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Halo: Reach, Dark souls (sorta) and sorta kinda barely Maplestory. I'm on and off with that game..

Favourite games of all time: Quite a few of my favorites are from the Zelda series. I also loved Mario and Kirby games. Mario 64 and Kirby 64.. Super Mario World.. Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.. Mario tennis 64.. etc. Super Smash bros.. I'm surprised how much I like Halo: Reach. I got my first xbox console (the 360) specifically for that game. I've played.. quite a lot. ...and this list is getting kinda long. So yeah. good classics. and a few others. ok.

Game you can't stand:

erm.. idk. World of Warcraft? It's not really fair for me to SAY that though since I've never played it. Just watched. But the fee is a bit steep.. and I hate fighting enemies by clicking on them. Booorring! (but you use skills while you fight! *slap* shut up!) Besides.. it already has a bed rep for being a life killer and a girl repelent. Not that I really care.. (Maplestory?) but it's something to be noted. XD

I am playing on PC, my favourite games are a little old ones, Fallout 1-2, Morrowind, Amnesia (it’s a cool horror game , Doom 3, AION (MMORPG), Civilization 4. I also like COD games, just my reflexes suck, so I’m not good in it Sometimes I’m also playing Sims and Sim City games.

Games I hate:
- Most new games. Cool grafics, but nothing else, stupid stories, stupid quests, stupid backgorund. Perfect example is the Fallout 3 (it has nothing to do with the real Fallout concept...). Another example is Oblivion. I didn't play Skyrim yet, but as far as I know, it's the same category
- When they publish not finished games, with a lot of bugs and after it they make 345722 patches and add-ons to get more and more money. Sims 3 is the perfect example of this, it was published in 2009 and it’s still very buggy even with the latest patch... or Fallout 3.

One thing I will say against one of your thoughts for Fallout3, take into acount the size of things, and the amount of work it all takes, and, at least it wasn't as bad as new vegas, man thats glithcy.
I've only played fallout brotherhood other then the 2 ont he 360, what are the original 2 like? Im curious.
And Skyrum has been getting some excelent reviews, it may be worth you checking out ^^ going to be getting it soon, theres a hell of alot to do it in, excelent graphic set for its size, breath taking visuals ect.
From everything I've seen, it looks like an excelent game in every way it can be ^^

Games I play at the moment: Football Manager 2012, Skyrim, StarDunk

Games I've played for years: Oblivion, various Total War games, Football Manager, Test Drive Unlimited, The Sims 2 and 3, Call of Duty, Pro Cycling Manager

Favourite game of all time: the Football Manager and Championship Manager series. I've wasted (and still waste) far too many hours on that.

I also want to mention Wizardry. I used to play this obsessively on an Apple II when I was about 10.

Yeah, I understand, just we old Fallout players were crying when we saw Fallout 3 XD Bethesda thought if they put ghouls and Enclave and a wasteland together, it will be Fallout… well, it won’t. In Fallout 1 and especially 2, there were a lot more major and minor groups competing with each other for the few resources, a lot more quests, and you could make every quests in a lot of different ways, and every desicion you made had an impact on the world… so it was a much more dynamic and complex world, also with complex politics. It also gave you much more freedom, you could be a slaver, a fluffer, a childkiller, a prizefighter, a porn star, anything… and there were real turn-based mode, not that joke like in Fallout 3.

The graphics are worse since it was published around 2000, but the storyline is much better then the Fallout 3

Irregardless of the Fallout Universe I feel that the focus of Fallout 1 & 2 was more upon the gameplay and storyline rather than graphics and creating a shiny new package.

While the dual-control first-person or third-person wsad layout was probably designed to involve both first-person and third-person gamers I feel the dual playmodes made it too difficult to balance. An example is being able to pause fights randomly for critical shots against just playing it like a first person shooter.

On top of that most modern games are built way too easily. Compare it to the older generation of games such as Battletoads and Smash TV on the SNES. It makes Fallout 3 seem like a cakewalk.

Wonder how the Fallout MMO will fare though.

Notes:
Strangely enough I only liked Team Fortress Classic and Counterstrike 1.6 for clanwars and scrims. Public play pretty much sucked. I played a lot of Starcraft 2 and was quite competitive near release but the game seems quite stale and boring now. Tetris Attack and Rock n Roll Racing are good multiplayer while Fallout 1 & 2 are two of the very few single player games I've enjoyed.
