Lots of people claim it was their idea on those adverts, but what exactly is the truth?

What are yall talking about? I mailed in the 47,942 box tops off Windows Vista to Bill Gates, with a nice letter saying the following:

"Windows Vista sucks. It makes me mad enough to run through Best Buy and tear the plastic tops off the cases. Make a new OS, and call it Windows 1. Why 1? Because you need to make it number 1."

They must've misread my 1 as a 7...

best way to describe win 7 is... well... vista... FIXED! lol. I've been using it for 2mo now and it seems stable and reasonably fast... but like all m$ prodcuts... they're computer resource hogs... they require a lot of memory to run properly. the minimum requirements are for 2gigs of memory (ram)... and thats what I have... it has some hiccups here and there, but I can stream 4 videos at once, run anti virus, and watch a dvd all in the same time haha... so yea... it works

Although the adverts are annoying, especially if you have 7 *points at self* but seriously it's worth it, it's brilliant. I've used XP, Vista and 7 and 7 is the best by far.

$500 ! It cost me £30. I find it much better, a lot faster and simpler than Vista.

Y'all realise though that the beta versions and free versions and, quite possible, the cheap-ass versions of Win7 that are out there are going to start turning off every system they are installed upon every two hours, starting... if i recall correctly, march 1?
