If you want to go all in on the fish-smell you could see if you can get hold of some 'surströmming'. It is a swedish traditional way of cooking herring in which the fish is fermented. I have never smelled some myself, but it is said to be horrible.

I don't know whether you will be able to get hold of some - it might be somewhat expensive - but if you are able to you should definitely try it.
