Why do so many of you guys, put a picture of a girl as your avatar?
are you all wanting sex changes? do you want to be girls?
why not put your own pic up?

I can't speak for myself (obviously) but I know a lot of guys have been dared to use the pictures of facebook friends as their avatar

me personally, I love being portrayed as a beautiful sexy woman, (and yes im very happy with a functioning penis, so no hormones or sex reassignment for me, but I pass often according to most I meet and feel much more confident and free as a woman

While technically my avatar is of a girl at the time I'm writing this response, I think it's kind of understandable why it is what it is. It's not because I want a sex change or because I want to be portrayed as a girl, it's because it's funny and I like Pokémon. Although I am bi and sometimes I have fantasized of what if I was a girl or portrayed as a girl, I would never post a picture of JUST a girl as my avatar unless I was dared to. But to the rest of the guys it is kind of confusing when you post a picture of a girl and it's a guy who posted it, mostly anime and hentai style girls. I personally don't post my own picture because if you're desperate enough to see what I look like, if you dig around enough in my profile you'll find it.

It's something that resonates with a facet of myself or, anyone else as a matter of fact, that we want to see beside our posts, or want others to see. It's just essentially, what feels "right" in my or whatever frame of life a person happens to be in, what feels like it meshes comfortably with the patterns their and my mind follows. It occasionally has to do with "perversion", but in most cases, I would say it doesn't. Besides, it's no more wrong nor perverted for a woman to use a male avatar. Or even for people to choose "inanimate" things.

I don't put much thought in rigid self perception. We're all made of many things regardless of what the body is.
