For me, there was a lot (too much) non-consensual content on there - people were posting their wives/gf on there without their knowledge, and some of it seemed to be revenge porn too. They didn't seem too interested in doing anything about this either.

I think they received some kind of legal threat and/or action against them.

It's a shame I don't get to see you all exposed any more, but ultimately I think it's a good thing the site is gone - it's this kind of site (that has inadequate moderation) that leads to more regulation/legislation around this kind of content.

Looking back over the history of these sites (at least my experience of them) points to a common denominator - men, on average, are trash. Less inflammatorily, sites like ladies.exposed, and eblue before that, and temporarily.exposed before that, all eventually collapse for exactly the reason jiim said, as (mostly) men utterly fail to have empathy for the personhood, autonomy, and privacy of women whose photos they are nonconsensually sharing. To give credit to the team at ladies.exposed, they seemed to be pretty good about removing images if they were reported, but I'm sure they didn't have anything like the capability to have a human review every picture.

Considering the number of times I reported pictures for being underage (who posts pictures of their toddler to a site like that even if they are clothed!?!) or explicitly captioned as revenge porn, its not surprising that the scumbags of the world ruined it for us honest kinksters.

And that's just the stuff we *know* is non-consensual. A lot of accounts will either be posing as women posting their own content, or claiming someone is asking to be exposed when they aren't.

Also outwith those specific consent issues there is an inherent flaw in all these 'temporary' hosting sites. Whilst you may be able to limit or prevent downloads, there isn't really a way to prevent someone taking a screenshot, meaning the image can be shared beyond what was intended by the person who posted it.

Have you considered getDare's sister site, kinktalk.com? It doesn't have the same risky thrill of letting the duration of the exposure be in the hands of others, but you can show more in an image over there can you can here.

I just saw these posts and thought I would comment.
Over the last few months several people asked me to do exposure dares on there but I never did.
Now I am glad I did not. I just didn't like the format there.
I would like to try something again but will take my time.

Partially I am sad as I had just received consent to start sharing pictures of my sub on there for online exposure (she was well aware of the risks) and was looking forward to posting her (or having her post herself). I'll just have to explore online exposure with her in other ways. I may consider setting up a kik group for this provided it doesn't become too unmanageable.

I'm also sad as a consumer... sure a lot of the pictures were just reposts of crap or "revenge" porn but there were a number of genuine amateur kinksters using it for exactly what it was intended for and those I really enjoyed for the same reason I enjoy kik picture and video sharing threads here on getDare.

I am unsurprised as I have seen so many of these sites come and go over the years. I can understand the liability issues of illegal content ultimately dragging each one down. Hopefully a new one will pop up, but I really did like the format and features that ladies.exposed had in place more than most of these sites in the past. It seemed the administrators were genuinely trying to make a reasonable site that catered to the supposed intended use. Farewell ladies.exposed!

As of now, the only way I can think of doing this would be to find someone on these sites that you build a rapport with and trust to "hold" your photos and do the exposure. I've done it before for some people, hosting images on an amateur porn site. It's rough-and-ready with me having to set timers and reminders for exposure lengths, but it's about all we can work with in these constraints. I also would require some form of consent waiver (either an ID, or signed, crumpled paper alongside their naked body).

I'm willing to start doing stuff like this again, now that I am more active on the site. If anyone is interested, they can message me on here or KIK me. Maybe we can do it in a reciprocal way too!

There is a Discord server, RiskOfReveal, that is based on aus_guy's original idea. Been running since mid-March with one or two "raffles" a month. All the necessary bots are in place and you can choose who can see your reveal (only current raffle entrants, anyone who has ever entered a raffle, everyone) and the length of the reveal (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,14, or 30 days, random 1-7 days or random 1-30 days)

The core of the problem is how a maintainer can trust that an image is published with the consent of the owner of the image right? Simple, in no way.

Well, the fair answer should be: trusting the one that posts the image. But we know well that trust on the net is like leave the wallet full of bucks on the sidewalk in front of the house, in the trust that our neghbours are all honest people.

There is also the slight, but fundamental difference between the owner of the pic and the owner of the image right: I can be the owner of the nude pics of my ex, because I took them (with her consent), but it doesn't mean that I can freely expose my ex on the net, because she is the only owner of the image rights.

I can see only two serious solutions for this issue:

1) relieve the maintainers from the resposibilty, giving the responsibility to the poster, but this would imply a mechanism of public authority that certifies the identity of the poster to the maintainer, and a mechanism that certifies that the pics are published by the certified poster and not by somebody that stole his identity - Both of them are complex (maybe the second more than the first) and practically unaffordable.

2) give all the responsibility to the poster by making he as the maintainer, administartor and publisher of the site. It would be fairly easy to build an application that acts as a small web server and runs on the PC or phone of the publisher, where he can publish all the pics he wants. The "server" could be identified with a dyndns address, that would be spreaded by the poster itself in the channels he thinks more appropriate, and he would be the only responsible for abuses.

What do you think?
