Android Phones
So I'm finally making the switch from my lovely and amazing iPhone to Android. I kind of wish I didn't have to. I really wish the iPhone 4 wasn't a buggy piece of crap. And I also wish ATT provided the same discounts for my company that Verizon does.
So I'm trying to figure out which one I want. Do you guys have any preferences/recommendations? Personally I'm stuck between getting the Droid X and the Samsung Fascinate. Both look like really, really awesome phones...But are so similar that I'm not sure which to go for. Also, what apps are good? Is there an easy way to sync the music from my iTunes to and android device?

I personally would go with the Droid X, has better tech specs and I like its design more. Better battery life, better camera, storage can be expanded up to 32 gigs through the SD card. Droid has a 8MP cam built in as apposed to the 5 MP of the Fascinate. So depending on which cost more and by how much would make my decision. If the Droid cost not more than $50 more than the Fascinate then I would go for it.
Edit: After checking the US site I found both were evenly priced, so based on the I say without a doubt, unless prices are different there. Go with the Droid X.

Personally out of those two I'd go for the Samsung...I have never heard a good thing about motoblur (the skin Motorola put over Android) and the Samsung interface is very similar to the iPhone. Although I would of course suggest HTC, I am very happy with mine and the HTC sense skin is quite nice. However there are quite a few Huawei phones coming out...they make quite a few electronic products but have just entered the phone market. They have some really good phones coming out for very cheap running "vanilla Android" (the google "experience") which is also very very good. As for apps...there are the usuals like Angry birds and Paper Toss. I would also suggest one called Pacmap. It is some fantastic augmented reality wherby you are Pacman and you run around the streets in your area eating dots and avoid ghosts. Good fun and a fantastic excuse for a walk/run. |

I've had my Samsung Galaxy S for a couple of months now.
A few weeks ago, it was upgraded to android 2.2. (Froyo). I love it. My I-Phone carrying colleagues are jealous about the "live wallpapers" (moving desktop backgrounds). I'm looking at a nice "3D Matrix" screen now. Nice apps:
I don't use I-Tunes, but The Galaxy can connect as a "media player" (under windows) and offers all expected functionality. If I-tunes can sync with a non-Apple media player, then it will probably be able to sync with an Android.

transferring music
To transfer music from itunes to a phone, simply connect your phone or phone's sd card to your computer.Open up your music folder go into itunes, itunes music, and copy the m4a files over. Note check the phone supports m4a files
