Is there a way to store old PMs?
I have a pile of PMs I wish to keep, but am finding no way to store them into a folder. It appears the function exists, but is grayed out. Is there a reason for this? I'm having to store my favorites in my Sent box and sometimes I accidentally delete them by mistake.

Right here is how I can / have done it.
GO TO YOUR PRIVATE MESSAGES - link On the left of the page there are links to everything - here click EDIT FOLDERS You can then add your folder Later tick/select your message and click move - same place would click as delete. Hope that makes sense Love RACHIE - (iPod) x x x x

Thanks! I'll try it now.
EDIT: Just tried it out. After creating a Stored Items folder, I checked all the messages I was storing in the Sent Items folder. I went to migrate those messages to the Stored folder, but had no option in ther drop-down menu to do so. The only options were: -DeleteThere was no move function available. Yes, I selected every message. There was no option at all for movement between folders. It was the same before I created my own folder. There should have been a way to move Sent Items into the Inbox. That was my first tip off that something was a miss.

Use to check folder is recognised.
When you click private Messages and the screen comes up. Near the top of the page there should be a link for JUMP TO FOLDER with a drop down arrow at the side. Is your new folder listed here? If so can't understand why wouldn't state move to folder from the list (at bottom of page) try doing with 1 message first. - MOVE TO FOLDER is at the top of that list - on mine

Nope, doesn't work when selecting a single vs. multiple.
The folder DOES show up in the jump to folders pull-down menu. It's there, but impossible to populate with messages. |

At the bottom of the PM page there should be a drop down box, by default it is on "Move to folder..." just click go after selecting multiple pms and it will bring you to a new page asking which folder you would like to move it to. I have included a link to a graphic showing what the box should look like.
Warning big image xD

OK... that I see and can do. It doesn't work for messages I sent though. That kind of stinks. It should work for both. I'd hate to have to send more traffic across the system by sending the messages back to myself and then storing them in yet another folder. Makes for double, nay, triple the work. Is there a flaw in the Sent Messages portion of the PM?

I am assuming it is a you sent it why would you want to save it thing. If needed I guess you could set yourself as a CC on all your PMs. I just save PMs to me, since when replying most people leave your message in the pm as well.

Well, here's the deal...
I send a lot of creative dares and would like to save them somewhere without all the chatter back to me that would end up in the inbox. The system obviously can store what I have sent. It just sucks that these great dares I have stored cannot be migrated to an archive folder without first having to be resent back to my inbox. Outlook can do it as well as several other mailer programs. There has to be some sort of way to activate it in vBulletin. |

There is not a feature I am aware of, I have not used vB in quite awhile so it may have been added. You can however make a list in the notepad "app" locatable but clicking on the drop down menu, "Quick Links". This way you can have a running list of your dares.
